At Evergreen Resources, we are committed to creating a more sustainable and responsible future. We recognize the importance of preserving resources for current and future generations, and we are dedicated to improving the economic and environmental wellbeing of the global packaging community.
Our Approach:
Increase global access to sustainable packaging
Reduce the carbon footprint of manufacturing
Contribute to the health & safety of workers globally
Increase global access to sustainable packaging
We strive to reduce our environmental footprint by increasing access to sustainable packaging solutions globally. Evergreen partners with leading facilities in the development and manufacturing of sustainable packaging – from bio-resin materials to fully recyclable components, we hope to create a more resilient, circular model of production and consumption.
Post-Consumer Resin
Post-Consumer Resin: We offer PCR (post-consumer recycled) resin in all our plastic packaging products, as well as ocean-bound plastic (a specific type of PCR) in select packaging categories. Up to 100% PCR can be used depending on the packaging type.
Bio-Resin & Biodegradable Packaging
We’re proud to introduce bio-resin packaging made from renewable plant sources like corn and sugarcane. These bio-based materials offer a sustainable alternative too. Biodegradable options are available in select product categories.
Fully Recyclable Packaging
We supply 100% recyclable packaging components in metal, glass, and mono-material plastic. Material consulting and custom tooling services are provided to convert traditional packaging into sustainable alternatives.
Refillable Packaging
We partner with leading manufacturers to offer a broad array of refillable packaging solutions. This shift in packaging empowers consumers to make conscious decisions that not only reduce carbon footprint but also provides savings over time.
Better for our environment
Reducing the carbon footprint of manufacturing
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through efficiency improvements and material advancements. We closely monitor the impact of supplier operations and implement continuous improvements across production processes.

Glass manufacturing
- Increase cullet usage for commercial flint glass.
- Invest in the research & development of lighter weight glass containers.
- Seek advances in furnace technology for energy conservation and emission reduction.

Metal manufacturing
- Invest in the development of thinner and lighter metal materials.
- Improve manufacturing processes to increase utilization and reduce scrap rate.
- Participate in raw material suppliers’ sustainable programs to increase recycled material usage.

Plastic manufacturing
- Develop mono-material plastic components to enhance recyclability.
- Increase the usage of high- recyclability materials (PE, PP, PET).
- Increase the usage of sustainable plastic alternatives (PCR, PLA, PHA)
- Invest in the development of refillable packaging solutions.
Contributing to the health & safety of the global workforce

Frequently Asked Questions

01
Sustainable packaging is packaging designed to minimize environmental impact through the use of recycled, recyclable, bio-based, or refillable materials — reducing waste and the carbon footprint associated with production and disposal. It encompasses both the materials used and the manufacturing processes behind them. Evergreen offers sustainable options across plastic, metal, and glass formats, including PCR resin, mono-material structures, bio-resin, and fully recyclable components.
02
Post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin is plastic material recovered from consumer waste streams and reprocessed for use in new packaging. It reduces reliance on virgin plastic and lowers the carbon footprint of production. Evergreen offers PCR resin across all plastic packaging categories, including ocean-bound plastic in select product lines, with 30-100% PCR content available depending on the packaging type.
03
Bio-resin packaging is made from renewable plant-based sources — such as corn or sugarcane — rather than fossil fuels, offering a lower-carbon alternative to conventional plastics. These materials are available in select packaging categories and can be used where performance requirements allow. Biodegradable options are also available in certain product lines.
04
Fully recyclable packaging includes components made from metal, glass, and mono-material plastic — all of which can re-enter material recovery streams at end of life. Mono-material structures are particularly important for plastic recyclability, as mixed-material packaging is harder to process. Evergreen supplies 100% recyclable packaging across these formats and provides material consulting and custom tooling services to help brands convert existing packaging to recyclable alternatives.
05
Refillable packaging is designed to be reused multiple times, reducing the volume of single-use packaging that enters the waste stream. It enables consumers to repurchase product in lower-cost refill formats while using the same primary container. Evergreen partners with leading manufacturers globally to offer a broad range of refillable packaging solutions across relevant product categories.
06
Packaging suppliers reduce manufacturing carbon footprint by improving material efficiency, increasing recycled content, reducing scrap rates, and investing in more energy-efficient production processes. Across glass manufacturing, this includes increased cullet usage and advances in furnace technology; for metal, investment in thinner and lighter materials; for plastic, the transition to mono-material structures and high-recyclability resins such as PE, PP, and PET. Evergreen monitors the environmental impact of our manufacturing operations and implements continuous improvements across its global production network.
07
Responsible manufacturing means verifying that every facility meets defined standards for labor practices, worker safety, and human rights — not just product quality. Evergreen audits all manufacturing facilities against the international standards set by the International Labor Organization (ILO), covering working conditions, health and safety, and ethical supply chain requirements. With 150+ facilities across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, that level of consistent oversight is built into how Evergreen manages its global network.
08
A credible sustainability position covers both environmental and social commitments — including material recyclability, carbon reduction efforts, and responsible manufacturing practices. On the environmental side, look for sustainable materials offered. On the social side, look for facility audits against recognized standards such as ILO (International Labor Organization). Evergreen provides material consulting, offers packaging across a number of sustainable categories, and audits all facilities across quality, environmental, and labor standards.
