Frequently Asked Questions

01
Brands can ensure factory quality by partnering with a packaging supplier that conducts rigorous and frequent facility audits. The strongest partners will audit their facilities across multiple dimensions — including quality systems, process controls, equipment status, and warehousing — and repeat the process annually. Evergreen audits every facility in its network across 165 metrics, ensuring only qualified factories produce for its customers.
02
A thorough facility audit evaluates a supplier's quality management systems, production process controls, equipment status, plant environment, and warehouse and shipping conditions. Auditors assess documentation, traceability, non-conforming product handling, and whether corrective actions from previous audits have been resolved. At Evergreen, audits are conducted both before onboarding a new facility and annually for all existing facilities.
03
Full traceability requires every unit produced to carry a lot number that links it back to the exact facility, production line, and time it was made — so that if a quality issue arises, the root cause can be pinpointed immediately. Evergreen manages traceability at the lot level across all products — for example, every aerosol can carries an invisible UV code recording the facility, production line, shift, and exact timestamp of manufacture.
04
Before production starts, Evergreen's QA Center issues detailed inspection procedures, approved drawings, specification sheets, and packing requirements to our onsite QC team. QC inspectors must start before production to review the internal control documents, verify packing materials, and confirm the planned production quantity matches the customer's purchase order. This pre-production step prevents the most common sources of defects and deviations.
05
Quality inspection should cover every stage of the production process — from verifying incoming materials through to finished product and packing checks. Inspecting only at the end means defects can progress through multiple production stages before they are caught, increasing waste, cost, and delay. Evergreen's QC engineers are onsite for every production run, conducting checks at incoming materials, in-process control points, finished products, and final packing before goods are loaded.
06
When a non-conformance is identified during production, the affected products are immediately isolated and clearly marked. Evergreen's QC team monitors any sorting or scrapping process onsite to ensure non-conforming units are not mixed back into production. Records are kept for a minimum of three years, creating a fully traceable history for every order.
07
A rigorous quality process — covering facility auditing, onsite inspection, and lot-level traceability — significantly reduces the likelihood of quality issues reaching the customer in the first place. In the rare instances where a claim does arise, response speed and root cause analysis are critical to resolving the issue quickly and preventing recurrence. Evergreen's QC team can be onsite within 24–48 hours of a quality claim, and customers receive a detailed root cause and corrective action (RCCA) report within an average of one week.
08
Prior to loading, all finished goods are inspected for correct packing, labelling, and storage conditions. Evergreen's QC team is onsite to monitor the entire container loading process for every shipment, ensuring products arrive in the intended condition. A real-time logistics update is then provided to keep customers informed on shipment status and location.
