Evergreen offers a wide range of high-quality printing options for both aluminum and steel aerosol cans. Aluminum aerosol cans support up to 9-color offset printing, along with advanced decorative options like embossing and debossing for enhanced branding and shelf appeal. Steel aerosol cans can be printed in up to 8 colors and also allow for dome printing to extend your design onto the top curvature of the can.

Choosing between steel and aluminum aerosol cans depends on your product type, branding, and performance needs. Aluminum cans are lightweight and sleek, making them a top choice for personal care and beauty products. They support 6–9 color offset printing, embossing, and debossing for a premium look. Steel cans are durable and cost-effective, commonly used for industrial and household chemical products, with 4–8 color printing and dome printing options.

These codes refer to industry-standard pressure ratings for aerosol cans, set by regulatory bodies in the U.S. and the European Union. In the U.S., 2N is the lowest pressure rating, 2P is mid-range, while 2Q is the highest standard. In the EU, can pressure classes are labeled Type I, II, and III — Type I being the lowest, and Type III the highest — based on how much internal pressure the can must safely withstand. Evergreen supplies cans certified to the appropriate U.S. DOT and EU standards to meet the demands of every formulation.

If you require printed aerosol cans, then artwork proofing is a critical step in ensuring the printing is done perfectly on every can. Evergreen Resources collaborates closely with customers to ensure every design detail is perfect before moving into full production. Here's how we manage this process.

• Digital Artwork Proofing: After receiving your digital artwork file, our QA Lab conducts an initial review to check for any potential issues. The final digital proof is sent back to you for approval and signature. This step takes 2-3 business days.
• Color Range Boards: After receiving the digital artwork approval, we produce physical color range boards indicating the approved color limits to be sent for review and approval.
• Pre-Production Samples: We produce pre-production samples for final approval prior to mass production.

Artwork proofing and duplication can be a time-intensive process, so working with a supplier who can support this effort at scale is critical to any brand requiring printed cans.

Stability testing ensures that there are no adverse chemical reactions between the product formulation and the aerosol packaging. Incompatible materials can lead to corrosion or degradation of the packaging, and such chemical reactions may result in can leakage. It is the responsibility of the customer and filler to verify the compatibility between the product formulation and the packaging through stability testing. Evergreen provides samples free of charge to all customers to conduct stability testing prior to production.
